ISPO Munich panel session: Teaming up for Circularity

Date and Time: 4th February 2021, 5.05pm CET

Panelist include:

Helena Braun, Member of Cabinet, Executive Vice-President for the European Green Deal European Commission
James Tarrier, Director Platform Innovation at adidas Futures team; project lead for the New Cotton project adidas AG
Katrin Ley, Managing Director, Fashion for Good

The circular economy can be considered a critical sustainability issue within the fashion and textile industry. The European Commission’s Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan has identified the textile industry as one of its priority areas. Industry-wide challenges require action and collaboration to make an impact.

This ISPO panel will dive deep into the world of collaboration on the circular economy. We will gain insights from panellists who will share their perspectives on the circular economy and the programmes they are working with to address the issue. We will discuss the key hurdles and challenges, along with the promising recent initiatives and collaborations that aim to make a circular fashion industry a reality.
